KOL

Dr Stephen Lowe is a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and trainer for global pharmaceutical company Merz Aesthetics. A Key Opinion Leader is a trusted, well-respected individual with proven experience and expertise in a particular field. Both Dr Lowe and Merz share a common vision to create inner confidence through patient education, superior aesthetic products and continued innovation. Merz’s portfolio of anti-wrinkle injection, dermal fillers, collagen stimulators and micro-focused ultrasound with visualisation provide an integral part of the offerings by Dr Lowe. Their commitment to quality research and development, patient safety and clinical excellence, are attributes shared by Dr Lowe.

Dr Lowe’s involvement as a KOL includes teaching and training new and established doctors and nurses on aesthetic theory, basic and advanced injection techniques and the use of non-surgical combination therapies to achieve exceptional cosmetic outcomes. As a founding member of the Merz Sapphire Academy of clinical trainers, he contributes and often leads one-on-one training sessions at the Merz Training Villages and Academies instructing on the safe and sophisticated use of the Merz portfolio.

Dr Lowe is frequently invited to lecture at symposiums and conferences to local, regional and global audiences. He has a particular interest in Ultherapy, a microfocused ultrasound device for skin tightening and lifting. He is a valued member of the Merz Global KOL network and one of six global KOLs invited to steer the future direction of Ultherapy as part of a Global Taskforce. He has also published novel research and is currently involved in research projects on Ultherapy and skin quality assessment and management.

His additional work as a KOL has seen him travel extensively internationally to partake in advanced training and mentoring programs. He is also asked to provide clinical support to fellow clinicians who may be experiencing aesthetics complications.
